Wensdy Von Buskirk, PR Manager

Wensdy Von Buskirk joined Publicity Works as PR Manager in May, 2010.

Prior to that, she worked as a professional journalist for more than 15 years. On staff with the Observer & Eccentric Newspapers and Daily Tribune, she did everything from cover breaking news to launch and edit lifestyle sections like Yes!, 24/7, Pink, and Filter.

As a freelance writer, Wensdy has been published in numerous local, regional and national publications like Marie Claire, Modern Bride and HOUR Detroit. While earning her B.A. in journalism at Wayne State University, she served internships in radio (WDET) and television news (Fox2 and WJRT).

Wensdy’s experience crafting stories for print, radio, TV and new media helps her see the best angles for clients to get maximum results, and her history working with PR agencies across the country as a reporter gives her unique insight into what kinds of pitches work and why.

Wensdy lives with her husband and two children in South Lyon. She also plays bass in The Mydols.
